When anybody speaks of an ovulation microscope one envisions a huge contraption with a long scope, an under-light and a doctor staring at something on a glass plate. And while the principal may be the same, ovulation microscopes such as the Fertile-Focus, are now small enough to conveniently carry in your purse. Out of all the best ovulation predictor kits on the market today an ovulation microscope, with its 98% accuracy rate can rival the rest.
These fertility microscopes are used by many trying-to-conceive (TTC) couples eager to find a simple yet effective monitoring device to predict the moment they are at their most fertile. Testing fertility levels by monitoring saliva has been around for years, but only recently have they made an instrument portable enough to take anywhere.
For years doctors and fertility experts have recommended women do their own saliva fertility test using an ovulation microscope to be able to predict the precise time she was ovulating. Taking action with the knowledge that she is at her most fertile time of her menstrual cycle greatly increases the odds that she can get pregnant.
By testing your saliva to determine if you are ovulating requires little, if any, self interpretation. By merely taking a small sample of your saliva and placing it on the glass end, and allowing it to dry for about 5 minutes, you then simply place the sample up to the microscope and push a button for the light to come on. Looking at a dried sample of your saliva you will either see patterns or not.

How to Interpret Your Ovulation Microscope Results
When you are not close to ovulating there will be no definitive patterns or designs on the dried sample. Each day as you move through your cycle you will notice small leaf like designs beginning to appear. What you will eventually see is “ferning”, a simple crystal pattern that looks like a fern leaf.
This reaction to your saliva happens during your menstrual cycle just as your estrogen levels begin to reach their highest peak just as you are approaching your time of ovulation.
Once those patterns take on a definite “fern-like” design, ovulation is most likely to begin within the next 24 to 72 hours. Because your most fertile time of each menstrual cycle occurs within the few days before you ovulate, having intercourse at this time greatly increases your chances for conception.
Understanding what you’re looking for and seeing those results in the microscope allows you the opportunity to have sexual intercourse before you start ovulating. Many doctors have long known that if sperm is present at the moment ovulation begins the chance for conception is greatly increased.
The convenience, simple to use and very accurate ovulation microscope is 100% noninvasive, does not use testing sticks nor does it require you to perform testing at a certain time of each day. When used on a regular basis the microscope is perfect for women who have irregular cycles, because it can accurately monitor her levels of estrogen at any time leading up to and through her ovulation.
Being able to carry around an ovulation microscope that is not much bigger than the size of a tube of lipstick and have the ability to know when you are your most fertile and about ovulate beats out all of the competitive methods of fertility testing. For those couples eager to conceive this is must have product.

Fertile-Focus Ovulation Microscope Reviews
“I read reviews on this product and was curious whether it would work for me. It does. I have found that the more saliva I use, the easier it is to read the results. One just has to remember that the slide must be completely dry in order to work. Work with the sight adjustment until you see something. The non-fertile time looks like a messy bunch of dots, however you will definitely know when you see the ferning pattern. I have cleaned the slide by water and gently dabbing (not rubbing) a softer towel over the lens, no scratching. I am a microbiologist, so I love anything remotely related to science and microscopes. This device is worth the money.”
“This this is really cool. I have been watching for a week with it and have not had a result yet but I’ll have on in a few days. Fertile Focus is easy to use. Readings show up clear. This is going to sound icky, but I also was able to put a sample on it after sex, and was able to see my husbands sperm cells! I just got it in my head to try it and it worked. They were whippin’ around like crazy. The thing is if you try it ladies, you have to look carefully to see them, even move to lense a little but they’ll be there. Please don’t judge, hes (my husband) been questioning his fertility for some reason even though we just started trying. Well, it works. What more can I say. “
“This ovulation microscope is awesome. We used it this month and the full ferning pattern is so obvious right before ovulation. It really helps to pinpoint when ovulation is imminent. I would recommend it very highly. I don’t know what to say about those who had problems with it, except that they maybe should check their method or run a hormone test to see if they are out-of-balance. Anyway, this worked wonderfully well for my husband and I.”
“I purchased this microscope in April 2010, the month I decided to go off birth control pills. In May I practiced using it every morning when I woke up and got an idea of how long my cycle is and when I ovulate. In June my husband and I tried to get pregnant and were successful! I am in my 7th week now. This is a wonderful tool for people like me who have recently gone off of birth control pills and have no idea how long their real monthly cycle is. Based on calculations of people with “normal” cycles, I thought I would ovulate around week 3 of my 35 day cycle. With Fertile Focus, I realized I ovulate over a week earlier than I thought. My husband and I would have been WAY off track! The reason it takes most healthy people months to conceive is not a fertility issue but a timing issue! Take the guesswork out of ovulation by buying this microscope and save yourself months of stress. I hope this product helps you as much as it helped me!”
